Need an Official Record?
Direct a McDuffie County request to the office that created or maintains the record:
- Court case files: call the Clerk of Superior Court at 706-595-2134, or the criminal desk at 706-595-2138, Room 1401, 210 Railroad Street, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: call McDuffie Sheriff's Records at 706-597-3862 or the Law Enforcement Center at 706-595-2040
- Thomson police reports: call 706-595-2166; report pickup is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. after five business days
- Georgia histories and rap sheets: use the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Crime Information Center route appropriate to the request
- Record restriction: follow O.C.G.A. §35-3-37 and contact the prosecutor, arresting agency, GCIC, or court as the date and requested relief require
